Bob Bondurant on Police and Pursuit Driving

There are many books on advanced driving, but my favourite is Police and Pursuit Driving by Bob Bondurant and Edwin J. Sanow.

Whereas a lot of other books on the subject of advanced driving often focus on things like fastest lines through corners, this book shows you the safest way to negotiate corners at speed with other traffic to content with.

It covers everything from driving position, mental attitude, braking with or without ABS, skid control, adverse driving condition, to accident avoidance. But some of my favourite chapters cover aspects of driving that only the police may encounter, such as take outs, defeating road blocks, and pursuit driving.

I can highly recommend this book for those who want to learn the art of safe, fast driving on public roads, or for those who want to learn how to avoid being "PITed" (Police Intervention Technique).
